Magazine Printing

Magazine Printing in Raleigh

Whether you’ve been publishing your magazine for years or are just taking your first stab at publishing a magazine, you’ve come to the right place! Magazines allow you to share a large amount of information with your Magazine printing examplecustomers, over a prolonged period of time, as they often will refer back to the magazine over and over again.

Using a magazine to communicate with your customers is a smart way to convey a lot of information is an interesting and compelling way.  Customers love the ability to hold a beautifully design, high quality magazine in their hands as well as the ability to read it at their convenience. Magazines are known for having lots of colorful images along with an easy-to-read format.

If you are just getting started with your first magazine you probably are concerned about the cost associated with Magazine printing. Here at Creative influence, we offer short run, digital, magazine printing.  With short run printing, you can start off small and only order a limited batch of Business Magazinemagazines to keep costs low.  As your subscriber base grows you can slowly increase your run size.  And if you are wildly successful and require large print runs we can migrate your magazine to one of our offset presses.  While digital printing is cost effective on small jobs, offset printing is much more economical on large projects.

Binding
Magazines are typically bound in one of two ways. Either Saddle-Stitch or Perfect Bound. In most cases, the binding type you choose is dictated by the total number of pages in your magazine.

Binding Types

Page Count
If your page count is relatively low, then Saddle-Stitching is your best choice. Conversely, if your magazine has a relatively high page count, then Perfect Binding is the way to go.

Paper
Your paper choices can vary but most magazines use a heavier “cover” weight paper stock for the cover and a lighter “text” weight paper for the interior pages. If your magazine has lots of colorful images you might want to choose a glossy paper stock that will make the images “pop” off the page.  On the other hand, if your magazine has limited colorful images but has lots of text you might want to choose and uncoated, less shinny paper stock.

Sizes
The most popular sizes for magazines are 8.5″ x 11″ and 5.5″ x 8.5″ but don’t let that prevent you from considering other sizes.  Sometimes a custom sized magazine will stand out more when it’s an unusual size.

Enhancements
And speaking of standing out, options like soft-touch lamination, foil stamping or an aqueous coating can really help create a unique magazine that will make you proud!

So, whether you’re planning a monthly, a quarterly, or yearly publication, Creative Influence is here to help!
